Large Grants

In 2008, the New Ulm Area Foundation made its first large grant award to help create a  quality soccer facility serving over 300 New Ulm area youth and hosting over 150 games a year.

This size of donation made an impact on a large number of people in our community, raised the visibility of the Foundation’s donor’s generosity and gave the NUAF the opportunity to partner with other organizations in our community.

In 2012 he Advisory Board of the New Ulm Area Foundation put out a Request for Proposal for all local non-profits and qualifying agencies to submit ideas for a large project to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Foundation.  Qualifying organizations submitted proposals which were reviewed by the Grants Committee and three of the projects were asked to complete applications and make a presentation to the Committee about the project.  After reviewing the proposals, applications and presentations, the committee members were so impressed they decided to make grants to all three of the finalist applicants!  So here they are……

The City of New Ulm Parks & Recreation

$20,000

for the purpose of updating and installation

 of displays at the Keisling House.

 

The Brown County Historical Society Museum

$25,000

for the funding of the

ERD display in the museum.

 

The Grand Center for Arts and Culture

$15,000 in the year 2012 

$10,00 in 2013

$10,000 in 2014

To create gallery space on the 2nd Floor of the

Grand Hotel with naming rights given

the New Ulm Area Foundation
