New Ulm Area Foundation Holds Annual Meeting
NEW ULM — New Ulm Area Foundation, Inc. (NUAF), held its Annual Meeting
on Thursday, February 20, 2025. NUAF is a 501(c)(3) public charity non-profit
corporation and community foundation supporting the quality of life within the
geographic reach of ISD 88.

NUAF is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors. Mark Furth completed his
3-year term and chose to not stand for re-election. The Foundation thanks him for
his tremendous service.

New board member elected was Colleen Skillings. Officers re-elected were Kathy
Van Roekel (President), Shannon Hillesheim (Vice President), and Jenna Peterson
(Treasurer/Secretary). Committee assignments for 2025 were approved by the
board.

During the meeting, the NUAF Board reviewed 2024 performance metrics. They
also ratified key service providers and signed board member governance policy
documents for the new year.

NUAF was founded in 1987. Its mission is to address the needs of the community
by growing endowment funds and providing financial grants from the earnings of
those funds. Through the generosity of its donors and benefactors NUAF has
granted back over $1.5M to the community (grants + scholarships). Additional
